City pushes HUD-funded lead-abatement program, urges eligible homes in 61701 to apply

Staff said they will expand outreach with a dedicated web page, QR codes, regionally targeted notices and a phone line for inquiries and applications. The city asked the public to share the information and encouraged eligible households to apply because lead remediation is a health priority for homes built before 1978.
