The Village Board adopted two resolutions recognizing the public service of Trustees Tricia Brown and Robert McPherson for their terms ending in 2025.
The board read and adopted a resolution honoring Tricia Brown, noting her service on the Planning Commission, Community Development Authority and Parks and Recreation Committee, and thanking her for “diligence, resourcefulness and commitment” to the Village of Waunakee. Trustees voted to adopt the resolution by voice vote with no opposition, and Brown spoke briefly, thanking staff and trustees and encouraging the board to continue its work.
The board then adopted a resolution honoring Robert McPherson, listing his service on the Waunakee Area Fire District, the Waunakee Area EMS Commission, the Finance Committee, Board of Appeals, Village Center Advisory Committee and Parks and Recreation Committee and noting his volunteer work as an election official. The resolution was adopted by voice vote with no opposition.
During his remarks, McPherson thanked staff and the board, listed several initiatives he had worked on during his term — including the child care benefit program, accessory dwelling unit and chicken ordinances and zoning discussions — and urged trustees to consider zoning changes to address long‑term planning and housing access. He closed by expressing confidence in the village staff and trustees.
