Tipp City Council approves tax‑budget alternative, signs up for ODOT salt contract and waives liquor‑license hearings

Tipp City Council on Monday unanimously adopted a resolution declaring the city will proceed under an alternative tax document format and refrain from preparing a full tax budget for fiscal year 2026, approved participation in ODOT's winter road‑salt contract and voted not to request public hearings for any city liquor‑license renewals.

The council adopted Resolution 12‑25 to use the alternative tax document process and to authorize the finance director to submit necessary documents to the Miami County Budget Commission. City staff member Mister Green told the council this is an annual practice that allows the city to provide summary information to the county budget commission instead of a long, repeatedly revised budget in July.
