City Clerk Katie Rodriguez asked the Aurora City Council at its April 21 study session to confirm dates to fill one vacancy on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Rodriguez proposed the following sequence: May 5 for council to determine which candidates to interview, May 19 to interview candidates (during or before the study session), and June 9 to appoint a new commissioner. After brief discussion about members' availability for the May dates, the council agreed to hold interviews on June 9 and to appoint a commissioner on June 23.
Councilmember Brunner said she would not attend the May meetings because of the ICSC conference and noted Councilmember Lawson likewise expected to be absent. Councilmembers raised no objections to the revised schedule. The study session record shows the scheduling item was advanced by unanimous consent.
