The South Burlington City Council on April 22 unanimously approved a consent agenda that included awarding construction and inspection contracts for a Bartlett Brook stormwater treatment expansion project and a $52,000 fund-balance award to support a greenhouse purchase, among other routine items.
The consent agenda listed the award of the construction contract for the Bartlett Brook Stormwater Treatment System Expansion Project (Southland STP MM1817) to Poolin Companies Incorporated and the construction inspection contract for the same project to Greenman Pedersen Incorporated. The council also approved a fund-balance award of $52,000 to Common Routes to support the purchase of a greenhouse and authorized the city manager to sign the grant agreement. The consent package included approval of multiple sets of minutes dating from December 2024 through March 2025.
After the consent vote the council convened as the Liquor Control Commission and approved the licenses printed on the meeting agenda (items listed beginning with Zachary Pizza and ending with Old Post LLC). A motion to enter liquor control was made and seconded; a subsequent motion to approve all licenses as printed was also moved and seconded. Both votes were unanimous.
The consent agenda motion was moved and seconded on the council floor and carried with all members voting in favor. The liquor-license approvals were conducted during the council's liquor-control session and likewise passed on unanimous voice votes.
Items approved on the consent agenda will proceed under staff direction and the manager is authorized to execute the grant agreement described above. No additional discussion or amendments to the listed contracts or the liquor licenses were recorded in the meeting minutes.
The approvals complete routine procurement and licensing steps that allow construction work on the Bartlett Brook stormwater project to proceed and maintain liquor-license continuity for local businesses.
