Council adopts rezoning to allow convenience storage near East 11th–12th Avenue

Meilock said the developer planned to use the site for self-storage and that Ethan Brueland of Charity Storage would serve as the project developer. Meilock said no opponents appeared at the planning and zoning hearing on the item.
The council suspended the rules to allow the ordinance to be read by number only and then voted to adopt Ordinance No. 25-04. Council members voiced no discussion on the motion before the vote was called and the motion passed.
The action amends the city’s official zoning map for the described parcel; the council did not discuss site-specific development plans, building design, or a timeline for construction during the public hearing. Any subsequent land-use approvals, building permits or site-plan reviews would occur under the city’s standard permitting process.
