The Safety Harbor Community Redevelopment Agency on April 21 accepted the agency—inancial statements and supplemental reports for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2023. Staff told the board that CliftonLarsonAllen, the agency uditor, issued an unmodified opinion on both the financial statements and supplemental reports, and the board approved acceptance by a 5-0 vote.
The acceptance followed a presentation and staff request that the board accept the reports. A staff member said, "Both reports reflect the independent auditors reports that are unmodified opinions." Julie Fowler, CPA, signing director for CliftonLarsonAllen, was listed in the presentation as the city's external auditor.
Board members first approved the minutes from the March 17, 2025 CRA meeting earlier in the session by the same 5-0 margin. The minutes approval and the acceptance of the fiscal-year reports were both moved and seconded from the dais and carried without recorded no votes or abstentions.
The meeting record shows no public comment on the audit item. After the votes the CRA meeting was adjourned and the city proceeded to its regular meeting scheduled for 7 p.m.
