The candidate, Doug Lawrence, attended Tuesday's meeting and addressed the board and community. “It's been a great process. I wanna first thank the Board of Education for entrusting me with this position,” Lawrence said, adding he looked forward to working with district staff and the community and that he anticipated beginning duties in July.
The board did not take a formal vote to appoint a superintendent at this meeting; members described the introduction as a public step in finalizing details and thanked the community for patience while contract items are completed.
