On the work comp portion, staff reported 12 open workers' compensation claims in 2025 and displayed the county's remaining reserve and payments made to date for those claims. When Member El Sasser asked whether a recently reported incident from "the other night" was included, staff said it was not and that it would be reported in a separate category once paid.
Committee members praised the quarterly visual as a useful tool for understanding future liabilities and assessing whether the county has taken corrective steps to reduce recurring exposures. No formal action was taken; the report was provided for committee oversight.
