Committee reviews vacancy snapshot; members ask about coroner FTE budgeting

Peoria County's Operations Committee reviewed the monthly vacancy snapshot on April 22 and asked HR for clarification after a coroner position appeared to exceed budgeted full-time-equivalent (FTE) levels.
HR Director Angela Loftus walked members through the monthly vacancy snapshot, noting the green column shows previous month filled and vacant comparisons to the current month. Dr. Blair asked why the coroner position showed "1 and an eighth FTE" over budget.
Loftus explained the discrepancy stems from differences between the FTE reflected in the position and how the budget book listed the prior position; she said the item is budgeted after reconciliation with finance. "So it is budgeted," Loftus said.
Dr. Blair accepted the explanation and no follow-up action was requested. The vacancy snapshot presentation was informational and did not result in a vote.
