Staffing and administration - Finance position: Staff reported progress and said Metro Arts has conditionally offered the finance role to a candidate who has conditionally accepted; staff expects the hire may start as early as May. - Public information manager: The office received 105 applications and staff will screen candidates in coming weeks. - Public arts manager and executive director search: The public arts manager recruitment will follow the other two hires. Director Hall will attend the June Commission meeting, and the permanent executive director search is slated to begin in July with an anticipated close in November–December; interim staffing overlap was discussed to ensure continuity.
Committee members asked questions about coordination with developers along the riverfront and whether future projects could partner with private developers; staff said the scope of the Bordeaux gateway project is the triangular site and that broader partnerships could be discussed with council offices and developers using Metro’s developer guidebook.
