The Newnan City Council unanimously approved a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) of $1,297,475 from Headley Construction on April 15 to build six additional pickleball courts at The Hop, a project funded through SPLOST 2025.
Headley Construction previously received $100,584 for design and $10,000 for preconstruction services. City staff said the project’s GMP was updated because of inflation since an earlier notice and that savings from the Lynch Park renovations (also paid from SPLOST 2025) made council more comfortable approving the higher number.
Council approved the GMP unanimously. The design-build agreement and GMP are recorded in the council packet; funding is listed under SPLOST 2025 allocations.
