Engineer describes minor subdivisions and $700,000 airport-road project the county will manage

County Engineer Mark Massey presented the engineer’s report during the April 7 work session, asking to remove Harris Road Subdivision from the agenda because of a property-line discrepancy and noting two other minor subdivisions for consideration.

Massey described the Wyelicky Subdivision as a minor preliminary-and-final plat creating four lots in District 4, and a Florence Road subdivision as a replat of Tract 14 creating two lots in District 3. "Harris Road Subdivision, we're requesting to remove that from the agenda. 1 of the adjoining property owners and the property owner that is, doing this division, there's a discrepancy on 1 of the property lines so we'd like to remove that 1 to give them an opportunity to work that out," Massey said.

Massey also updated the commission on a project off Airport Road that the county is managing with state funds. "So it's about a $700,000 project that we're managing, with state funds supporting the construction of that," he said, referring to a road the county previously agreed to manage with ALDOT funds.
