Bay Oaks Park: Staff said the Bay Oaks project has been broken into two phases. The first phase — site preparation and finish grading — is being advertised and will address subgrade and prep work. The second phase will be a bid package for the multipurpose field, pickleball courts, parking and walking trail. Staff said the procurement for the first phase is being advertised this week.
Town Hall: Staff reported the new town hall continues toward occupancy for office areas, but final work remains. The town manager and staff said elevator equipment procurement and elevator shaft work remain a critical path item; installers have indicated the shaft and elevator availability could take weeks to complete. Town staff said the building could be used for staff occupancy without the elevator while final downstairs work is completed and that the fire alarm and door work must be completed for full occupancy.
Construction materials: Community Services Director Jeff Haughey said concrete and other demolition material being staged near town facilities will be crushed and reused as subbase for the Bay Oaks project where appropriate. Haughey said the town has agreements with some demolition and demolition‑recycling contractors to accept sorted concrete without trash.
Ending: Staff said they will continue to advertise and manage the Bay Oaks procurement and push to finish remaining town hall items; staff asked councilors and residents to expect updates as permitting and the elevator schedule evolve.
