Committee hears status of OCR 10 and mobile-field-reporting (MFR) upgrade; Hexagon workshops underway

DuPage County staff told the oversight committee that the OCR 10 upgrade environment is fully stood up and that configuration and user workshops have begun with vendor Hexagon.
Staff said about 15 of the county’s 31 agencies attended the first OCR 10 configuration workshop and that the session was productive and heavily attended. "We almost hit capacity in the room. We're close to 30 attendees," the presenter said.
Agency IT departments are working with staff to gain network access to the new OCR environment. The committee was told the team completed workflow setup on the IT side and that a system-administrator workshop is scheduled next week, followed by an April workshop focused on MFR — mobile field reporting — which staff said will replace the current FBR product. "MFR is mobile field reporting. It's replacing FBR," Don Aronhaft said.
Staff outlined additional training steps: train-the-trainer sessions are planned for the fall, with an expected go-live target in November. The team said Hexagon has tightened its workshop format and that the implementation work completed earlier in the year included heavy-lift configuration that is now finished.
Ending: Staff said they are working with Hexagon to trim time off the schedule where possible and will provide an updated go-live projection at the committee’s summer meeting.
