The Burke County Planning Commission accepted staff recommendations and voted to advertise public hearings for final-plat approval of two subdivision projects: Nadeenbush Pines Phase 3 (file 2412-399) and Southbrook Section 2 (file 2412-398).
Staff said Nadeenbush Pines Phase 3, proposed by ILA Properties Incorporated with surveyor Robert Land Surveying, would create nine single-family lots on approximately 3.31 acres in the Arden District (map 19 parcel 3.2). County Engineer Doug Smith deemed the project compliant with the subdivision ordinance on April 3, 2025; staff recommended final-plat determination and advertising a hearing for the May 19, 2025 planning commission meeting.
Staff also recommended final-plat determination and advertising for Southbrook Section 2, proposed by Chandlers Glen LLC and engineered by Gordon (file 2412-398). That phase proposes 53 lots on about 12.96 acres in the Mill Creek District (map 3 parcel 9). Doug Smith deemed the project compliant with the subdivision ordinance on April 16, 2025; staff recommended advertising a May 19 public hearing for final-plat consideration.
Representatives for the projects—Mike Roberts for Nadeenbush Pines and Mark McDonald of Integrity Federal Services for Southbrook—attended and answered questions. The commission voted to accept staff recommendations and to advertise both projects for public hearings on May 19, 2025.
Votes for both motions were recorded as carried by voice vote; the transcript does not show a detailed roll-call tally.
