Council approved a three-year leasing proposal from Xerox for a copy machine to serve the administrative department; council asked and received confirmation from staff that the term is three years before voting to approve the lease.
The council awarded the lowest pest-control bid to Absolute Turbine and Pest Control LLC. Council discussion noted the city has many buildings to be treated and that the assigned technician or team will accompany city staff during treatments.
Separately, the council authorized advertising for a public hearing to consider rezoning a roughly 1.14-acre parcel on Coosa River Parkway (described in council materials as part of the northwest quarter of Section 13, Township 18 North, Range 18 East, Seminole County) “from rule and holding to B 2” to reflect a change in zoning; the council voted to move forward with advertising the public hearing.
The council also approved permission to install a pilot meter at the Fall Line Overlook; council members noted a dedication for the project is scheduled for Friday at 11:30 a.m. during remarks about Main Street and riverfront amenities.
