Peoria County treasurer: property tax bills mailing Friday; due dates set

Nicole Bierke, Peoria County treasurer, told the board that tax bills are scheduled to be mailed on Friday and that online payment options will be enabled.
"Tax bills will be mailed this Friday," Bierke said. She told the board the county will enable online payment access, that about 1,200 accounts receive paperless bills and will get email notices, and that due dates for the year are June 10 and Sept. 10. She also reminded the public that mobile-home taxes are due May 1.
Bierke confirmed she will retire July 11 and said the board is expected to announce an appointment to replace her at the May county board meeting. The report was informational; the board did not take formal action on the treasurer's announcements during the session.
