A representative of the Supervisor of Assessments office told the board staff have sent exemption forms for the tax year and are processing returned forms while assisting township assessors with 2025 assessed values.
The speaker identified as the office's chief deputy said many exemption forms have been returned and that staff continue to process incoming requests and assist residents who come in to complete forms. "Right now, it's in the hands of the township assessors, but we help them out, with some of the sketching that they do and permits and and things like that," the deputy said.
The office said it expects a high call volume when tax bills are mailed and encouraged patience from callers; staff said they will respond as soon as possible. No formal board action was requested during the update.
