At its April meeting the Midway ISD Board of Trustees approved Kayla Brown as principal of Midway Middle School and Dr. Heather Metzger as principal of River Valley Middle School and unanimously approved a contract renewal for Dr. Allen, the board said.
The actions add two new principals to the district’s middle school leadership and keep Dr. Allen under contract, while trustees also heard an update on a districtwide survey of teachers, parents and students about cellphone use in schools. No formal decision was reached on changes to cellphone policy, according to district communications.
