The grant covers a dumpster with a five-ton maximum; disposal beyond five tons incurs an additional fee of $90 per ton. The council discussed placing the item on the next meeting agenda so members can decide whether to budget for possible overage costs (the presenter suggested holding $270 as a contingency to cover three extra tons).
The presenter said Greg Morris had approved locating the dumpster behind the berm off West Riverside and that local disposal vendors have agreed to the county-funded arrangement without requiring prepayment. The presenter asked for volunteers to help post flyers and to monitor the dumpster during the cleanup.
No formal vote was taken at the meeting; the presenter said she would put the overage-funding request on the next meeting agenda for council consideration.
