Votes at a glance: Sarpy County board recommends approval of nine personnel-policy revisions

Sarpy County officials recommended approval of a package of personnel-policy revisions during a board meeting on April 21, 2025. The board moved through a series of agenda items — approving minutes and recommending changes to layoff order, grievance procedures, discipline and appeals, informal complaints, appeal procedures, secondary employment, tobacco-free workplace, lactation support and workplace bullying policies.

Several items drew little public comment; most were presented by Mary Davis, Sarpy County human resources director, and approved after brief discussion and questions from board members. Davis described one proposed change to be a removal of an informal-complaints regulation: "I recommend that this policy be removed," she told the board.
