The District 57 Board of Education voted unanimously to approve a new contract extending Superintendent Mary Gore’s term.

The board approved the contract in a roll-call vote after a motion to adopt the terms. The vote tally recorded each board member as voting yes: Member Chung, Member Choi, Member Kowalczyk, Member Leto, Member Nelson, Vice President Bennett Kille and President Faye.

The contract was introduced as a single action item under new business and brought forward for a first and final reading at the meeting. Board members offered brief remarks of thanks and congratulations following the vote.
