The Board of Supervisors voted April 18 to approve a resolution supporting a local and regional water-supply planning grant application run through the Northern Neck Planning District Commission. County staff said the planning work has no direct cost to participating localities and that the Planning District Commission requested signed resolutions back by May 15 to proceed with the grant application.

County administrator Mr. Tadlock said the planning work is required to review and update regional water-supply plans. The board approved the resolution by voice vote at the meeting and directed staff to return the signed paperwork to the commission.

Ending: Board members asked staff to supply any DEQ documentation and supporting letters before the next meeting so members could review technical justification for well replacements and related actions when that agenda item returns.
