Woodland Park council reappoints three members to Parks and Recreation advisory board

The Woodland Park City Council unanimously reappointed three members to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board on April 17, voting to retain Jeff Webb, Don Dezellem and Danuta Brown.
Jeff Webb, who told the council he is a landscape architect and planner and has chaired the parks board, said he wanted to continue supporting projects including the parks master plan, the new cultural center and Meadowood Park improvements. "It's been an honor and a joy to be a part of," Webb said.
Don Dezellem said he sought reappointment to continue work on Avenger Open Space implementation and the Meadowood Sports Complex master plan. He noted his background in recreation administration and emphasized a programming focus on the advisory board's work.
Danuta Brown, speaking by video, said she has served about four years on the parks board and wants to keep working to preserve Woodland Park's "mountain feeling," to connect trails and to support the board's recent accomplishments.
Councilor Kelly Case moved to reappoint the three candidates in a combined motion; the motion was seconded and carried on a unanimous roll call vote. Mayor Case then administered the oath of office to the three reappointees.
The reappointments maintain the advisory board's membership as the council and staff continue planning for park projects including Meadowood improvements and the Avenger open-space acquisition.
Council and staff thanked the reappointed members for their volunteer service.
