Needham NCAC schedules May 10 mural celebration with crafts, artist meet-and-greet and local vendors

The Needham Cultural Arts Committee subcommittee agreed on a May 10, 2025 mural celebration to mark installation of the town’s new mural, scheduling the event for 1 to 3 p.m. with a rain date on May 17 (1:30 to 3:30 p.m.). The subcommittee discussed crafts for children, a meet-the-artist presence, a brief historical component and local vendor participation.

The subcommittee said the event will be held at the alley by the mural; members discussed staging the activity toward the back of the alley to reduce wind and to keep work away from any nearby dumpster. The artist, identified in meeting discussion as Mia, is scheduled to be available on the chosen date; the group also plans a historian presence from the Needham Historical Society to discuss local context.
