More than 800 middle school musicians perform at Genesee Theater

The festival brought students from all five district middle schools together to present band, orchestra and choir performances, the district said. Altsak thanked staff, volunteers, parents and event sponsors Bravo Waukegan and Uline for supporting the event.
District officials framed the festival as a showcase of student skills and the breadth of Waukegan’s music programs. No policy actions or budget changes were announced in the remarks about the event.
