Lycoming County to accept bids for NRCS-funded watershed and fish habitat projects

Resource management staff said the emergency watershed project is fully funded by NRCS and therefore not expected to impose county capital costs. The fish-habitat projects were presented as county-requested work to restore and improve aquatic habitat in specified streams; staff indicated these projects will proceed through competitive bidding and will be administered in partnership with grant and resource agencies.
No contract awards were made at the meeting; staff asked commissioners to acknowledge the bid solicitations so procurement can proceed. Commissioners acknowledged the items and directed staff to proceed with the advertised bid process and return with bids and recommended awards for formal approval.
