Oklahoma County approves temporary appropriations and amended Putnam City budget

Oklahoma County approved a series of temporary appropriations for multiple school districts and charter schools and accepted an amended Putnam City School District budget during a special county meeting in April 2025.

The approvals, requested by the county finance department and the office of the county clerk, cover fiscal-year temporary appropriations for 2025–26 for several districts and a fiscal-year amendment for Putnam City for 2024–25. Each item was introduced as requested by the county finance department or the office of the county clerk. Meeting participants moved and seconded the items in sequence; the minutes for the April 2025 meeting were approved at the start of the session. No formal roll-call vote counts or individual yea/nay tallies were recorded in the transcript; the clerk recorded unanimous approval (“Aye”) on each motion.

Meeting discussion was brief. One participant asked whether delays in state department notifications were producing an unusually high number of midyear or early filings; a county staff member said they had not yet inquired but would follow up.
