Sunbury City Council on April 16 approved a package of routine resolutions and ordinances, including participation in the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) winter salt cooperative purchase program, a professional services contract for labor/employment law, a one-year extension of the city administrator's employment agreement and consent to be included in an ODOT bid packet for enhancements to Sunbury Parkway.
Council members voted unanimously on the items brought forward that evening. The measures passed by recorded vote were: the ODOT winter salt cooperative purchase resolution (Resolution 2025.08), a legal services contract with Fischel Downey Albrecht Ripponoff LLC (Resolution 2025.09), an emergency ordinance extending City Administrator Daryl P. Hennessy's employment agreement for one year (Ordinance 2025.12), a charitable solicitation permit for the Knights of Columbus Measure Up campaign with suspension/emergency (Ordinance 2025.15), and final consent to participate with ODOT on Sunbury Parkway enhancements (Ordinance 2025.17).
