Planning division staff told the commission on March 24 about a community cleanup kickoff scheduled Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Laramie Recreation Center. Staff said the event will include food trucks, handouts and pickup supplies and encouraged volunteers to sign up in the city’s volunteer software so the city can track hours. Staff also said volunteers can leave large trash items in agreed locations for city pickup.
Staff also reminded commissioners of a joint work session with the City Council next week at 6 p.m. in the same room and asked commissioners and the public to provide feedback on information they would like to see in planning staff reports to improve decision-making.
The announcement was informational; no formal action was taken.
