Outboard motors (agenda item f): The committee approved waiving competitive bidding and purchasing two outboard motors for the Waukegan Fire Department dive and rescue boat from Bay Marine Chicago not to exceed $58,869.43 after Fire Chief Pazier described the city’s current loaner boat as 20 years old and at risk of being unusable by May 1. Surplus vehicle (agenda item g): The committee approved an ordinance to dispose of a surplus Waukegan Fire Department vehicle, a 2015 Ford Explorer purchased used in 2018; the department said the vehicle needs a new rear differential and water pump and should be auctioned.
