Oklahoma County Board of Equalization sets fair-market values for seven properties

Eleanor Thompson, presiding at a special meeting of the Board of Equalization of Oklahoma County, on April 17, 2025, approved minutes and set fair-market values for seven properties after discussion of sales comps, rental income and condition.

The board approved the minutes of its April 11 meeting and then considered seven valuation appeals and assessments. Each contested item ended with a formal motion and a recorded 3-0 vote in favor of the value the board set.

Board members discussed sales comp data, rental income and, in one case, alleged inclusion of personal property in a sale price. For one property the board considered previous informal reductions from 2023 and multiple methods of arriving at a value; for another, members noted evidence of termite damage had been previously taken into account.
