The city clerk said names already appear on the report and account statements are available for detailed review; several council members said the current report gives adequate oversight without adding card digits to a public document.
After discussion and a motion to amend the resolution, the council approved revised language removing the requirement to print the last four digits. The action was recorded during the meeting’s consideration of the regular agenda. Councilmembers cited privacy concerns about publishing even partial account numbers on a public document while leaving other disclosure steps in place for audit and oversight.
