The Franklin City Park Board approved minutes from the March 20 meeting, signed April claims and approved the human-resources report by voice vote during its meeting.
On the agenda for a later meeting was a security-system proposal for the Franklin active adult center; the presenter did not have the proposal materials available and the board agreed to consider the item at the next meeting.
Board members received an update on construction at the Franklin active adult center. A parks staff member said interior tile and flooring work were underway, cabinets and stage flooring are on site, and the construction manager reported crews would pour the concrete drive leading to the facility. The staff member said the construction manager was still aiming for a May completion date.
The board reviewed the 2025 spring/summer Fun Guide and a financial report showing April results on track. Staff noted April comparisons with 2024 are skewed by last year's eclipse festival revenue. Staff also described recent large expenses recorded in the budget, including a rebuilt pool filter for about $37,000 and rebuilt pumps for about $10,000.
The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn.
