Nashville Public Library volunteers deliver more than 3,800 thank-you messages to council

Councilmember Gadd introduced Shawn Bacher, president of the Nashville Public Library Foundation, who presented more than 3,800 messages of support collected for library staff and the library system. “I'm thrilled to present more than 3,800 messages of support from people who love the Nashville Public Library,” Bacher said.
Bacher told the council the cards reflect community appreciation for many library activities and services, including recent events such as a children’s mural dedication, a bookmobile launch and work on the Donaldson branch. The presentation was framed as a gesture of thanks to councilmembers for their support of library initiatives.
No legislative action was associated with the presentation; Bacher encouraged councilmembers to accept the cards as tokens of community support and to continue engagement with library programs across the city.
