Addison SD 4 swears in four new board members; Chris Bollig named president

The Addison School District 4 Board of Education on April 16 accepted the DuPage County Election Commission’s canvas, sworn in four newly elected members and elected officers for two-year terms.
Board member Miss Ruffalo read the election canvas and announced vote totals reported by DuPage County: Chris Bollig, 2,192 votes; Zach Frangidakis, 2,080; Jeremiah Lang, 2,041; and Tasso Triantopoulos, 2,035. The board then moved and approved a resolution to proclaim those candidates as elected to four-year terms on the Addison School District 4 board.
The newly seated members took the oath of office administered by Dr. Sutton, repeating a standard oath that includes duties to the U.S. and Illinois constitutions, adherence to public meeting rules and a pledge to protect district assets and student privacy.
After the oath, the board conducted nominations for officers. Chris Bollig was nominated and recorded as president for a two-year term; Tasso Triantopoulos was recorded as vice president; and Zach Frangidakis was recorded as secretary. All nominations were recorded by the secretary and approved by the board during the meeting.
The reorganization items were presented as the first actions of the newly seated board and were approved by roll call votes.
The ceremony included brief remarks from Dr. Sutton recognizing the work and time commitment of board service and an encouragement for community appreciation of candidates who ran.
The board will reconvene for its next regular meeting on May 21 at Village of Addison Town Hall.
