Public commenter alleges nepotism surrounding PIMS position and hiring documents

Robert Clannigan Bey addressed the board during public comment on April 16, saying he had reviewed documents and believed the district's PIMS (Position Information Management System) position and hiring process involved nepotism.

"After talking with some people, who I trust, they have told informed me that the PIMS position, it is has not always been under the, business manager. It has in the past, and it was at the time her daughter received her position," Clannigan Bey said. He said a document the business manager distributed last week indicated the commenter had voted in favor of hiring the business manager's daughter for a supervisory position; Clannigan Bey said he had not voted for that hire and said he would not have supported it because of the nepotism concerns.

Clannigan Bey said the document showed the commenter had "voting yes for a particular item, for her daughter to be supervisor," and that video evidence showed he voted no. He told the board he did not know the business manager had a daughter in the district at the time he reviewed the business manager's qualifications.
