The Logansport Police Department reported its March operational statistics to the Board of Public Works and Safety on April 16, 2025.
The chief reported roughly 26,082 total miles driven and about 802 calls for service in March. The department recorded 72 arrests, 21 citations, 236 warnings and 256 traffic stops. Criminal investigations had 10 cases assigned, of which staff said eight were closed and two remained active. Staff reported 24 evidence items purged.
The Cass County Drug Task Force investigated nine cases and made six arrests; staff said eight of the investigations involved methamphetamine and one related to other criminal activity. Animal control recorded 33 calls in the city limits (four unfounded), took nine animals to the shelter, worked one bite case and issued enforcement actions that included one ordinance violation, five written warnings and 11 verbal warnings.
The board approved the police department’s monthly report on a recorded roll call later in the meeting.
