SAC plans ad hoc review of fully adjudicated dispute-resolution cases at July meeting

The executive committee agreed April 16 to schedule review of fully adjudicated dispute-resolution cases as part of its ad hoc dispute-resolution committee work and to request CSDE provide case records and summaries at the July meeting.
Committee members noted that one of the ad hoc’s annual functions is to review fully adjudicated cases; the chair asked staff to coordinate with Kirsten Delvinberg, who oversees hearings and mediations at the CSDE, to assemble relevant case information. Sean (CSDE staff) recommended waiting until July to review the past year’s cases so the committee could review a more complete dataset.
Why it matters: reviewing fully adjudicated cases is part of the SAC’s oversight responsibilities and helps the council identify systemic issues in dispute resolution, mediations and hearings.
Next steps: staff will ask Kirsten Delvinberg to prepare case summaries and confirm availability for the July meeting; the committee will add the review to the retreat/July agenda or handle it as a regular meeting item if timing allows.
