The City of Superior council approved several routine items by voice vote, including the April meeting minutes, multiple business licenses, and miscellaneous licenses pending departmental approvals. A public hearing on the 2024 consolidated annual performance and evaluation report (CAPER) drew no public speakers and was closed.
The clerk called the roll and confirmed a quorum before the body opened the CAPER public hearing. No one had signed up to speak; the presiding officer closed the hearing and the council had no business to act on for the CAPER.
The council approved the April minutes on a motion by Councilor Herrick with a second by Councilor Elm. The council approved miscellaneous licenses pending department approvals on a motion by Councilor Herrick and second by Councilor Ludwig.
Licenses approved included an original Class A liquor and Class A beer license application for CAPL Bridal doing business as Express Lane at 311 Belknap Street for the current license period through June 30; a cigarette, tobacco and electronic vaping retail device license application for the same business at the same address; and an original Class B liquor and Class B beer license application for Superior Ramen House at 110 East Second Street, Suite 7, for the current license period through June 30. Each motion carried by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
