Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director Tom Zotti presented the plan and told the board the update was required by the State Department of Homeland Security to maintain eligibility for certain state/federal grants and FEMA reimbursements. The document (approximately 218 pages) reconciles local operational needs with current state and federal guidance, Zotti said, and staff indicated the signature pages are prepared.
Select Board members asked whether the plan's adjustments had been reviewed by town staff; Zotti and Town Manager Jim Pigno said departments had provided input and that the firm reconciled that feedback into the final plan. The board unanimously approved the Emergency Operations Plan update.
