Commissioners approve final plat and extend SIA for Shadowwood storage project

Flathead County planners and commissioners on Jan. 7 approved a final plat to split Lot 8 of Eagles Crest Ridge into two residential lots and granted a 12-month extension of a subdivision-improvement agreement (SIA) for the Shadowwood Storage Units project.
Planner Larissa Van Riet presented the final-plat request filed by Derek Nicole and Gregory Thompson with technical assistance from IMEC. She told commissioners the preliminary plat had been granted on Aug. 2, 2022, subject to 17 conditions and that all conditions were met; no SIA was required for the final plat. The board approved the final plat on a voice vote.
The board also approved a 12-month extension of the SIA for Shadowwood Storage Units in the amount of $130,090.46 and added Shining A LLC as an indemnitor on the surety bond, per staff recommendation. The motion carried.
Both actions were routine land-use items on the agenda and carried by voice vote.
