Dave Prunty (presenting as "Dave") reviewed department statistics, saying year-to-date sanding hours have risen to about 1,900 compared with about 1,300 the prior year. He described the difference as the kind of nuisance snow and warmer-snow cycles that consume sanding material even when plowing needs are limited.
