County reports $57,004 remaining in opioid-abatement funds; commission to allocate by committee discretion

The county reported accumulated opioid-abatement revenues across three fiscal years totaling about $137,672. Meeting staff said the remaining balance available for FY 2026 from prior opioid-abatement receipts was $57,004.75.
The presenter asked the commission to place the full remaining amount into the FY 2026 opioid-abatement budget for the opioid committee to allocate at its discretion. Staff said they expect another contract for opioid-abatement funds to be received and, if so, they will present an amendment to add that funding to the budget when it arrives.
Commissioners asked for the opioid committee to make allocation decisions and for staff to present any new contract to the commission for formal budget addition when the contract is received.
