County clerk requests deputy pay increases, added part‑time hours and jury-supply funding

The clerk asked for a permanent part-time position or conversion of an existing part-time role to full time to maintain operations.
The clerk also requested a new judicial supplies line (for water and snacks for jurors and court officials) and said the office has been paying some of those costs out of pocket. Commission discussion included a suggestion (from a commissioner) to set $5,500 in the budget for jury supplies to avoid staff personal spending.
The clerk provided schedules and comparative documents on workload and asked commissioners to consider the pay adjustments, citing retention difficulties: she said many employees leave for higher pay in private-sector jobs and it takes one to two years to train replacements.
