The West Allis Common Council moved forward April 15 on a package of public-works items after a public hearing led by Assistant City Engineer Rob Hutter.
Hutter presented the city engineer’s report on planned reconstruction work for the 2025 program, highlighting two concentrated projects: reconstruction of South 90th Street from West Durham Avenue to West Dakota Street and reconstruction work on West Stewart/Tooth Avenue segments with related sanitary and storm sewer replacement. Hutter said the roads are in “severely deteriorating” macadam condition with older underground utilities; the work would include new sanitary sewers and laterals, storm sewer mains and laterals, and new concrete curb and gutter where applicable.
