Aurora receives $543,698 in fees from city cooperative contracting program, official says

Representatives of FH Passion presented Aurora city leaders with a check for $543,698 on Jan. 7 representing aggregate fees the city has collected under a cooperative Job Order Contracting (JOC) services program awarded in September 2020.
Leo Wright, senior vice president of FH Passion and a long‑time Aurora resident, told the council that over four years the program resulted in 261 task orders totaling roughly $17 million in work, with an average job size of about $65,000. Wright said the city has more than $2.5 million in new work in the pipeline under a successor contract.
City staff said the fees are earned by the city as part of allowing contractors to use the cooperative contract and that the amount reflects aggregate activity since the original award in 2020. No adjustments to the budget or new city commitments were announced at the presentation. The mayor’s office joined FH Passion and the city’s chief financial officer at the podium for a ceremonial check unveiling.
The council received the presentation during the mayor’s report portion of the meeting and applauded the reported revenue return from the JOC program.
