The Seward City Council unanimously adopted Resolution No. 2025‑7 designating seven city items as surplus property and authorizing staff to dispose of them through the city’s established sale process.
Staff identified the items as assorted municipal equipment including bicycles, snow blowers that have not been used recently, playground equipment, a pull trailer from 1971 and a couple of Police Department pieces (a wooden cap board cabinet and a clear black splash sheet). The sale is expected to be run as a single‑offer format (submit best offer by bid opening) rather than an exchange auction, and will be listed for an upcoming sale event planned for Cinco de Mayo.
Staff emphasized the items will be sold “as is” without warranty and encouraged bidders to inspect items before bidding. The resolution passed on an 8–0 vote and was designated Resolution No. 2025‑7.
