Delavan council approves range of permits, contracts, licenses and appointments

The City of Delavan Common Council on April 8 approved a package of permits, contracts, purchases, temporary liquor licenses and mayoral appointments.
Among the actions the council approved were conditional-use permits for multi-tenant retail and a tavern with drive-through on Racine Street; a two-lot certified survey map (CSM) land division; a $90,000 seal-coating streets contract; a $10,125 quote to add vibration dampeners to three overhead mast arms on East Geneva Street and Board Road; authorization to purchase an inflatable fire-education house using donated funds; and a range of temporary and reserved liquor licenses for community events and businesses. The council also confirmed multiple mayoral appointments and committee nominations.
The votes were taken during the regular council meeting after reports from standing committees and a planning commission referral. Council members made or seconded the motions and the motions were approved as recorded on the meeting minutes.
